  1. Perfect offset. Chain skips off regularly.

Posted by Josiah on May 18th 2017

The offset couldn't be more perfect, but the chain comes off any time I'm not riding on smooth roads. I'm even sporting a FS MTB. It would work perfectly if I was using one gear in the rear or an IGH. For such an expensive kit with a high power output, the stock chain ring seems like it was barely an afterthought. I'm going to be trying a chain catcher to fix my jumpy chain.

  2. Its not as bad as made out to be

Posted by Robert V on Apr 13th 2017

This chain ring is not bad clunky or heavy as other reviewers made it out to be, its not the best looking chain ring, I give it 4 stars, took 1 star away just because as mentioned before its not the best looking chain ring

  3. It's heavy, it's big

Posted by Daniel Brinks on Mar 3rd 2017

Others complain about this being too large for mountainbike/fat tire use. I've found it to be good, if you plan to pedal and use motor assist.

I'd like to get a similar sized (46T) chainring, but aluminum, because this thing really weighs a ton

  4. Stock bafang chainring

Posted by Nick Borgstrom on Sep 29th 2016

Large diameter and heavy but it's dished pretty farmin. Maybe could be used to mount other rings such as belt drive.

  5. Included upgrade chainring

Posted by Nick Borgstrom on Sep 29th 2016

Very nice of Luna to make this substitution a much better and lighter option bolt on to your motor. Also has alternating thick thin teeth to help retain the chain.Smaller at 42t =more torque. It's made of much lighter aluminum and also dished in a bit for better chainline.if more dishing is needed the next step is The Bling Ring and for the furthest in go for the eclypse.

  6. Bafang 46T Stock Chainring for BBSHD

Posted by Kent on Aug 19th 2016

I suppose this could be used in a pinch if necessary but Luna provides better options so I did not try this out, due to its weight, small tooth profile, and more teeth than best for MTB trail riding which is my main usage.

  7. Single Speed Chain Works Great

Posted by Andrew on Aug 8th 2016

I believe this chain ring is made for SINGLE SPEED CHAIN. Probably why a lot of people have reported trouble.

I've got this on a single speed chain setup and hasn't skipped on me yet.
