I was fortunate enough to try out my buddy's luna ludicrous banana bike recently; it was the minibike I never had as a kid, but was quiet, and insanely fast! I was surprised at how quick it was, how it could easily get to 34 mph, and after one ride and I was hooked. I did lots of research and it turns out throttles are not the norm and most companies are allergic to speed! I tested out a bunch of other ebikes but none compared to the torque and acceleration of the crusher 2. A stab on the thumb throttle and the crusher hits you with immediate torque while slapping a smile on your face. There aren't many things that can provide that instant fun.. -stuff that makes you giggle out loud no matter the situation and the crusher doesn't disappoint. In 1st gear, you have to be ready with weight forward or else you WILL wheelie. I almost went with the KHS 680 hardtail thinking the rear shock is overkill for me, but I was wrong. Overall stiffness of the bike is perfect for the power, and both front and rear shocks are adjustable which give you hard tail commutability and off road pliability. The included dropper seatpost is also a nice bonus that I wasn't expecting. The fusion battery pack is something to be seen and fits perfectly in the frame and doesn't budge no matter how much I hop and jump on the bike. The quality of the build, and care and thoughtfulness in design is apparent. How the cables are threaded through the frame and neatly tucked around the motor, or the positioning of the throttle and controller buttons, it's all elegantly done. The DPC 18 controller sits flush on the handlebars as if it came from giant like that. My experiences with pre sales support and how quickly they respond to any questions after purchase is even better. The folks at luna continue to raise the bar in this space and it is awesome to see the passion come across in these bikes. Definitely go ludicrous and you will not regret it!
