These AMASS connectors look well made but the solder pins were not as pictured on the website. There is no cradle or cup to solder to only a slight bevel across the end of the pin. I can't imagine how an 8AWG wire solder joint could make a lasting connection even with the heat shrink surround. Am I missing something here?
review edited by Luna to reply: the design revision is because these are the new UL Approved version. You need to get it hotter with a soldering iron but it'll work fine.
