  • Mechanically functional pedal kit that adds fully working pedals to the XXX or XXX Pro
  • Comparable to the Kanawaba kit
  • Strong and durable
  • Includes optional sprocket to change gearing of bike

Luna has worked with the Talaria engineers to develop and produce a quality pedal kit for the XXX platform that is easy to install.

This kit is comparable to the Kaniwaba fully functioning pedal kit. Unlike many of the Kaniwaba this kit will actually mechanically drive the bike making it a mechanically functioning pedal kit.

Please note this kit although it is high quality… because of gearing is not as practical as pedaling a geared bicycle. So you will not be providing practical pedal assistance to the bike when the motor is running. We have also chosen not to make this an electronically assist kit (where pedaling acts like a throttle to the motor) because we feel throttle control is much safer and intuitive than pedal control on the XXX.

This plug n play kit actually propels the bike (slowly) with stock gearing or more (quickly) with included 25 tooth sprocket and chain. Note the 25 tooth sprocket will also increase the gearing of the power bike so it will be faster with significantly less torque so it is  not recommended to install the 25 tooth sprocket and just keep the stock sprocket.

The kit includes:
  • Forged high strength pedal brackets
  • High quality 16 tooth freewheel
  • Nickel plated 30 link drive chain 1/2''X1/8'' Links
  • Strong steel 14 tooth split cog to rotate the jackshaft (easy to install)
  • (shortened) 120mm forged crank arms with square taper mount
  • Wide platform 9/16 alloy pedals (Lightweight Carbon/Titanium pedals available also)
  • Shorter kickstand with all mounting hardware and spring
  • Brake hose guides to prevent damage to the hydro system
  • A straight edge ruler to get everything aligned properly

Kit can be installed with common hand tools and a basic chain tool (required), with a split cog drive there is no need to remove the jackshaft. Kit takes about 45 minutes for an average person to install for the first time and install is relatively straight forward. Basic chain tool alternative can be purchased here

See video below for installation

Note: fitting pedals does not make this vehicle a bicycle or an e-bike, and does not make it street legal. It remains an off-road-only vehicle.
